Mark Halston is an articling student at Acheson Sweeney Foley Sahota.

Mark was born in Victoria and has been active in the community all of his life. Before pursuing law, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (with distinction) in 2014. Mark obtained his J.D. from the University of Victoria in 2018. During his time at law school, Mark gave back to the community by providing volunteer legal services to low-income clients through the Access Pro Bono Wills Clinic, the Access Pro Bono Student Clinic, the Access Pro Bono Mental Health Clinic, and the Law Centre Clinical Program.

For his efforts, Mark was awarded the Access Pro Bono “Volunteer of the Year” award for 2016. Mark also received the Achievement Award for overall best standing in Civil Procedure in 2017.

Mark has appeared for clients before the British Columbia Mental Health Review Board and the British Columbia Provincial Court.
