David Heffernan


David began Articling with the firm in January of 2015 and joined the firm as an associate upon the completion of his Articles in January 2016.

He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from McGill University in 2010. After receiving his undergraduate degree David completed an internship with the firm in the Fall of 2010, and as a result of that internship he decided to pursue Law. He attended Bond University in Australia, receiving his Juris Doctor (J.D.) with Honours in October 2014.

The Bond University curriculum allowed David to complete Canadian and Australian Law subjects, which certified him to graduate with a degree that was recognized in both Canada and Australia. David has been working closely with lawyers at the firm to gain experience in all areas of Personal Injury Law, including legal research, chambers applications, settlement proposals, and mediations.

Volunteer Work

David has completed volunteer internships in the Dominican Republic and Peru. In the Dominican Republic, David worked with a local organization to improve schools and rural sidewalks, in order to make it safer for children to walk to school. While in Peru, David worked with the local Quechua people to enforce Human Rights laws, provide access to clean water, and construct sustainable vegetable gardens for local schools. David has also volunteered on municipal political campaigns.

In his spare time David enjoys spending time with his family, travel, squash, adventure sports, and the great outdoors.
