Acheson Law Supports Transition House Christmas Hamper Program

When one of our lawyers received an email from the Victoria Women’s Transition House regarding Christmas Hampers, our firm and staff quickly jumped on board.  The VWTH Christmas Hamper Program is a great way for members of the community to support the many women and children who have used VWTH services in the past year and who may be spending a challenging first Christmas on their own. We were happy to be matched up with two families and got busy assembling hamper items according to both families ‘wish list.’

As many of you know, the VWTH Emergency Shelter is a warm, secure, home-like environment that accommodates up to 18 women and children who can stay up to 30 days. Women and their children who stay at the shelter can access counseling, support services, community referrals and assistance.

Being able to make someone’s Christmas just a little bit better is what the holiday season is really all about.  Acheson Sweeney Foley Sahota is pleased to have played a part in doing just that for two families in our community.
